Job summary

Circle Health Group’s Bath Clinic is seeking a Sister Charge Nurse to join the Wards team. This full-time role (37.5 hours) requires covering a flexible shift pattern and leads clinical care at a senior level.

You must be a Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration and have significant post‑registration experience in an acute or related specialty. Leadership and audit experience are highly valued.

• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and coordination skills.

• Familiarity with private healthcare systems and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on clinical care, acting as a senior point of support for complex or deteriorating patients.
• Coordinate daily clinical activity and ensure safe staffing levels, skill mix, and continuity of care.
• Promote high standards of nursing practice through supervision, coaching, and role modelling.
• Allocate and supervise staff during shifts, ensuring responsibilities are clearly defined and patient needs are met.
• Support the development, appraisal, and competency assessment of junior nurses, HCAs, and students.
• Contribute to the induction and ongoing development of new staff, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and policies.

Salary: Up to £48,500.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Sister Charge Nurse to join their team of staff in the Wards department.

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Provide hands-on clinical care, acting as a senior point of support for complex or deteriorating patients.
• Coordinate daily clinical activity and ensure safe staffing levels, skill mix, and continuity of care.
• Promote high standards of nursing practice through supervision, coaching, and role modelling.
