- Perform dynamic simulations, including shock, vibration, modal, acoustic and structural dynamics analysis.
- Develop and maintain Finite Element Analysis models for naval platforms, onboard equipment, piping, shaftline products and shock-mounting systems.
- Translate naval shock and vibration requirements into equipment and system-level design constraints.
- Correlate simulation models with physical test data and prepare compliance evidence for customers and naval authorities.
- Contribute to design improvements and help develop engineering guidelines, best practices and knowledge-sharing tools.
- Share technical expertise and support colleagues and cross-functional project teams.
- Support planning, risk management, technical governance and compliance with business, export control, data control and QEHS requirements.
- A degree, or equivalent qualification, in Mechanical, Structural, Aerospace, Marine Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in structural dynamics, shock physics, vibroacoustic, finite element analysis or a related simulation discipline.
- Experience using simulation tools such as Ansys, Abaqus, or similar software.
- Experience in naval, defence or maritime engineering environments would be beneficial, however we also welcome applications from candidates with transferable experience from related industries.
- Strong technical reporting, planning and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Eligibility to obtain the required UK security clearance.
- Please note that this position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain the appropriate Security Clearance (SC level). Any applicants must have (and be able to evidence) the right to work in the UK.
