Job summary

Wayve is seeking a software engineer for its Core Simulation team to help develop the simulation system used to evaluate and improve Wayve’s driving intelligence. You will own features across C++ and Python, integrate driving-stack components, and collaborate with Simulation, Robotics, Autonomy, Evaluation, Platform and Data teams.

The role focuses on hands-on development, performance profiling, and improving reproducibility and reliability of simulations while supporting large-scale evaluation

Qualifications

  • Hands-on software engineering in C++ and Python.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience debugging complex systems and reasoning about interfaces, data flows and timing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production-quality components within Wayve’s simulation system using modern C++ and Python.
  • Integrate driving-stack components, simulated robot systems and new vehicle-platform capabilities into the shared simulation environment.
  • Profile and improve simulator performance for large evaluation workloads.
  • Investigate differences between on-road and simulated execution to identify issues across data, inference and simulated components.
