Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a motivated Post-Graduate Medical Education Simulation Fellow to advance medical simulation training across specialties, physician associates, and TCMS students. You will assist in course planning, delivery, governance, and grant applications, under supervision of simulation tutors and the PGME team.

The role promotes in-situ and centre-based learning, with opportunities to gain educational qualifications.

Qualifications

• Registration with a professional body (GMC/NMC/HCPC).
• Experience of working in/for an NHS Provider.
• Excellent communication with colleagues and policy adherence.
• Collaboration with simulation tutors and the PGME team.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Enthusiastic, creative, and flexible in approach to challenges.
• Evidence of formal simulation training and related education credentials.

Responsibilities

• Represent GHNHSFT at educational meetings and support Simulation Based Education.
• Integrate with Gloucestershire Simulation Networks and regional learning initiatives.
• Research, observe and interact with medical simulation teaching to identify support needs.
• Coordinate simulation course planning, delivery, and educational governance.
• Support staff in development of simulation capabilities and equipment management.
• Collaborate with TCMS to include Simulation Based Education in student placements.
• Assist in preparing applications for educational grants and bids.
• Monitor simulation standards and evaluate teaching sessions; report findings.
