Job summary

Graphcore is seeking high-quality silicon physical design engineers to join our team, with roles across a range of experience levels. We look for collaborative, proactive engineers who can contribute to robust designs and solutions on leading-edge nodes in a highly open and honest environment.

You will work within the physical design team to produce sign-off-quality RTL-to-GDSII outputs, collaborating with architecture, packaging and product engineering to deliver high-performance AI silicon.

Qualifications

• A Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related subject.
• Be highly motivated, a self-starter, and a team player.
• Enjoy taking responsibility and improving skills and knowledge.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for debugging issues and root causes.
• Ability to program/script (Tcl and Python) to solve design issues.
• Experience in 7nm or smaller technologies.
• Broad experience with physical design flows: Floorplanning, Synthesis, Place&Route, Clock CTS, Timing Analysis, LVS/DRC/ERC.

Responsibilities

• Deliver final designs with sign-off quality using EDA tools and Graphcore flows.
• Enhance existing flows and in-house tools/APIs for new features.
• Analyze and debug complex engineering problems to workable solutions.
• Apply emerging technical knowledge to optimise in-house flows and methodologies.
• Collaborate with internal teams and 3rd party support to improve efficiency of the Physical Team.
