Graphcore in the United Kingdom is seeking high-quality silicon physical design engineers to complement our team. We have roles focusing on a broad range of skills and experience, with exceptional candidates considered for less experience.

For the successful candidate, we offer an open, collaborative environment working on leading-edge designs at advanced nodes. You will own design pieces, drive improvements to flows, and collaborate with architecture, packaging and product engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related subject.
• Be highly motivated, a self-starter, and a team player.
• Enjoy taking responsibility and improving skills and knowledge.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for debugging issues seen and finding root causes.
• Ability to program/script (Tcl and Python).
• Experience in 7nm or smaller technologies.
• Broad experience with physical design flows including: Floorplanning/Budgeting, Synthesis, Place and Route, Clock CTS, Timing Analysis, Logical Equivalence, Physical Verification (DRC/LVS/ERC).

Responsibilities

• Contribute technically to Graphcore's next generation AI superchips across multiple areas.
• Deliver designs that are sign-off quality using state-of-the-art EDA tools and in-house Graphcore flows.
• Enhance existing flows and in-house tools/APIs to support new features and methodologies.
• Analyze and debug complex engineering problems to produce workable solutions.
• Learn emerging technical issues and apply knowledge to optimise in-house flows and methodologies.
• Collaborate with other teams and external contractors, ensuring clear communication.
