Job summary

HFG is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join its Life Insurance team in London. You will work with Finance and Actuarial to produce monthly MI, statutory and regulatory reporting, and provide financial insight to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities include leading the MI pack, planning year-end reporting for the Annual Report, supporting regulatory reporting, and driving process improvements. Requirements: life insurance experience; IFRS and Solvency II knowledge; and hands-on use

Qualifications

• Experience in financial reporting within life insurance.
• Strong IFRS and Solvency II knowledge.
• Experience preparing front half of Annual Reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production and commentary of the monthly MI pack with data validation.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insight into drivers.
• Translate complex accounting into clear commentary for senior stakeholders.
• Plan year-end verification for the Annual Report.
• Review internal and external reporting for improvements.
• Plan and manage the year-end reporting timetable.
