Job summary

NETWORK RAIL is seeking a technician specialist in Signalling & Telecoms to support maintenance across the rail network. You’ll work outdoors in a team, learn new skills, and receive training to operate safely on the network.

The role offers a clear path to development within a company recognised for safety and a strong benefits package, with a salary around £45,669. Applicants should have experience with safe systems of work, leadership abilities, and the desire to progress in rail engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience of arranging and implementing safe systems of work.
• Ability to lead, motivate and direct a team.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of permanent way inspection, faulting, maintenance and renewal techniques.
• Hold or be working towards NVQ level 1 or 2 (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Carry out work safely and in accordance with safe systems of work and procedures.
• Direct work activities in a safe and efficient manner while meeting standards.
• Ensure assets are compliant to standards and quality is maintained.
• Maintain appropriate safety arrangements for staff and Contractors.
• Accurately report and record work completed or not completed.
