Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited in Hull city centre is seeking a skilled Sign Maker to join a busy workshop. You will produce bespoke signage, from vinyl application to built-up letters, ensuring high-quality finishes and accurate interpretation of client specifications.

This temporary-to-permanent role offers an immediate start, a 40-hour week with paid breaks, ongoing training, and opportunities for long-term career progression within a supportive, employee-owned business.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years sign making experience.
• Strong knowledge of vinyl application techniques and sign production processes.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and job specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Vinyl cutting, weeding, and application.
• Manufacturing and assembling bespoke signage (tray signs, built-up letters, panels, vinyl graphics).
• Working with materials including aluminium, acrylic, foamex, composite panels, wood and metal.
• Operating workshop machinery and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Interpreting job specifications and technical drawings.
• Conducting quality checks to ensure a high standard of finish.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Supporting colleagues to meet production targets and customer deadlines.
