Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and assemble signage using a variety of materials, tools, and techniques to meet project specifications.
• Install signs/graphics on walls, vehicles, windows, poles, and buildings with precision and adherence to safety guidelines.
• Measure spaces accurately to ensure proper sign placement and visibility.
• Collaborate with clients to understand design requirements and advise on materials and installation methods.
• Conduct site inspections before installation to identify challenges or hazards and plan accordingly.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, storing tools and materials after each job.
• Complete detailed documentation of projects, including measurements, materials used, and installation procedures.

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + Overtime available

Working Hours: 08:00-17:00

Duties

• Design, fabricate, and assemble signage using a variety of materials, tools, and techniques to meet project specifications.
• Install signs/graphics on different surfaces including walls, vehicles, windows, poles, and buildings with precision and adherence to safety guidelines.
• Measure spaces accurately to ensure proper sign placement and alignment for optimal visibility.
• Collaborate with clients to understand design requirements and provide expert advice on materials and installation methods.
• Conduct site inspections before installation to identify potential challenges or hazards and plan accordingly.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly after each job.
• Complete detailed documentation of projects, including measurements, materials used, and installation procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the sign making industry.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and sign fabrication equipment such as vinyl cutters, digital printers and laminators.
• Strong physical stamina to lift heavy materials, dig footings, work at heights, and perform manual tasks throughout the day.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting installation challenges.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to construction and signage installation is highly desirable.
• Ability to read technical drawings or design layouts accurately.
• Valid driver’s license for site travel.
• Good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
• Knowledge of composer or similar sign design software.
