Job summary

Inspire Resourcing Ltd in the Mansfield/Chesterfield area is seeking a CNC Programmer for CNC turning using Siemens controls. The role covers programming, setting and operating CNC lathes and mills to produce precision components.

Regular day shifts with competitive hourly pay (£17–£20) and long-term opportunities in a well-established engineering business; a clean workshop, supportive team, and room for progression.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer.
• Ability to program and edit using Siemens controls.
• Strong understanding of turning principles, tooling and machining practices.
• Confident reading technical drawings and working to tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC milling and turning machines using Siemens controls.
• Produce precision-machined components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Carry out quality inspections using a range of manual measuring equipment.
• Monitor tooling condition and make adjustments to optimise machining performance and production efficiency.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and health & safety within the work area.
• Work flexibly to meet production deadlines and adapt to changing workloads.
• Work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with managers and colleagues.
• Provide occasional out-of-hours support where required for breakdowns and varied production demands.
