Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Store Detective to operate across our client's network of high street stores in and around Leeds, using keen observation to help prevent theft of stock.

You will be part of a team that plays a crucial role in identifying, apprehending and assisting in the prosecution of criminals targeting our client. The role requires a valid SIA licence, a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle, excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence.
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.
• Customer-facing experience with a strong service background.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (GCSE English or equivalent).
• Observational skills with ability to handle sensitive situations.
• Calm under pressure and quick decision making.
• Self-motivated, proactive and can-do attitude.
• Ability to use CCTV surveillance systems.

Responsibilities

• Observe, deter and arrest those involved in criminal activity.
• Issue civil recovery where applicable.
• Liaise with police and crime-prevention partners to stay updated on trends.
• Build a local network to identify and disrupt crime.
• Report incidents accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Occasionally attend court to provide evidence.
