Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a security officer to help create a safe, secure environment for visitors and staff while delivering high standards of customer service.

You will hold an SIA licence (SG/DS/CCTV where applicable), BS7858 clearance, and a first aid qualification, work agreed hours, follow procedures, and report incidents promptly. The role offers ongoing training and development within a leading facilities management company.

Qualifications

• Clear BS7858 clearance is required.
• SIA licences: Security Guard (SG), Door Supervisor (DS) and CCTV where applicable.
• First aid qualification.
• Customer service experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with IT tools: Word, Teams, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a positive commitment to a high level of customer service, professional presentation, and confidentiality at all times.
• Always display excellent situational awareness.
• Facilitate access/egress to building(s) whilst maintaining a high level of client facing and customer service skills.
• Be aware of protest and demonstration activity and respond/escalate as appropriate.
• Assist staff, guests, contractors and public bodies with information, directions, or queries in a professional manner.
• Fully converse with operating procedures and always follow them.
• Assist during major incidents as instructed.
• Display your SIA licence while on duty.
• Maintain accurate records/logs and submit reports as instructed.
• Participate in staff welfare or development programmes and complete mandatory training.
• Use radios/phones confidently and clearly.
• Carry out any other reasonable request.
