Job summary

Corps Security is seeking a skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to maintain a secure environment on site in Westhoughton. You will apply thorough access control, conduct site inductions, and perform planned and ad-hoc patrols per Assignment Instructions.

Shifts are a 4 days on, 4 off rotation with days 07:00–19:00 and nights 19:00–07:00, ~42 hours weekly. A strong customer focus and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front‑Line License is essential.
• Able to pass SC and Bank of England Vetting Standards/UK residence requirement (5 years).
• Full UK Driving License is desirable due to location.
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitask, and work under pressure.
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel.
• Able to meet vetting to BS7858 Standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct body searches on female attendees of the building.
• Maintain overall surveillance with regular site patrols and records.
• Ensure visitors and contractors are briefed, sign in/out of the site.
• Record the entry and exit of deliveries and process paperwork per procedures.
• Ensure patrols are carried out to required standards.
• Set and unset primary/secondary alarm systems for out-of-hours security.
• Comply with site waste management procedures.
• Complete daily occurrence logs, shift handovers, incident/accident records, and site reports.
• Follow Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and safety documents; advise on improvements.
• Maintain training records and keep first aid and fire marshal training up to date.
