Job summary

Carlisle Support Services is seeking Retail Security officers to support Tesco sites in Chorley. The role offers an hourly rate of £14.15 and flexible hours (full-time or part-time options) with training provided and a clear path to progression.

You will maintain safety, provide a visible security presence, handle incidents calmly, and engage politely with customers and staff while following security procedures and reporting, ensuring a welcoming, secure environment.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ is required
• SIA Guarding or Door Supervision licence required
• BS7858 vetting background check with 5 years of history
• Dependable, punctual and flexible in approach
• Smart, professional appearance with a friendly attitude
• Willingness to learn and engage with clients and the public
• Security experience is welcomed but not essential, willingness to learn is key
• Ability to engage positively and build trust with others

Responsibilities
