Job summary

Carlisle Support Services is seeking motivated security professionals to join our team for Tesco sites in Chorley. Pay is £14.15 per hour with full induction and continuous training. Location: Chorley. Hours: two options—full-time 41 hours (36.5 paid) and part-time 24 hours (21.5 paid).

We provide a supportive environment, uniform and kit, and access to pension schemes after probation. Excellent communication and a customer-first approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ due to legal requirements.
• BS7858 vetting requires 5 years of verifiable work and address history.
• Dependable, punctual and flexible in approach.
• Smart, professional appearance with a friendly and approachable attitude.
• Willingness to learn and security experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of colleagues, offering reassurance and empathy.
• Provide a professional, visible security presence.
• Handle incidents with care and confidence to maintain a peaceful environment.
• Conduct security patrols to deter risks and control access points.
• Proactively engage with the public in a friendly and helpful manner.
