Job summary

Carlisle Support Services is seeking a motivated Retail Security Officer to join the Tesco partnership in Lytham St Annes. You will maintain a safe, welcoming environment by patrolling, managing access and assisting customers with professionalism.

Required are an 18+ age, SIA Guarding/Door Supervision licence, and BS7858-style background checks. Training is provided, with progression opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ required due to legal requirements.
• SIA licence required: Guarding or Door Supervision.
• Background check with 5 years of verifiable history (BS7858).
• Dependable, punctual and flexible in approach.
• Excellent people skills to engage clients and the public.
• Security experience welcomed but not essential; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, professional security presence and reassure staff.
• Conduct security patrols and manage access points to deter risks.
• Respond to incidents with safety as a priority and escalate as needed.
