Job description

• Location: Birmingham, West Midlands, United Kingdom

We are looking for SIA Door Supervisors to work at events across the Midlands. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work at a multitude of events such as sporting events, concerts, and festivals. Transport to other events around the country may occasionally be available when needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Welcoming all visitors to the venue
• Searching bags and persons before entering the venue
• Placing tags on bags once checked
• Sweeping and clearing persons from closed areas
• Assisting with evacuation procedures
• Ejecting fans from the venue/event
• Providing security related comms to members of public
• Preventing fans from taking alcohol pitch side
• Preventing fans from smoking or vaping
• Preventing fans from standing on non-safe standing areas
• Access control to VIP/ Player or Hospitality areas
• Dealing with any queries and offering additional information regarding the event
• Checking access passes (where applicable)
• Helping to direct flow of foot traffic
• Offering an excellent level of customer service to ensure the smooth running of the event
• Being the eyes and ears of the event and ensuring the safety team have the information they require
• Supporting other positions where necessary including stewarding, Traffic and Car Park teams.

Required skills, qualifications and experience:

• SIA Door Supervisor badge
• Good level of verbal and written English
• The ability to react calmly in high pressured situations

Hours of work:

Shift times will vary on each event, with early and late shifts available. All work is offered on a casual basis giving you flexibility to work around your current commitments.

Rate of pay:

The hourly rate will be £12.50ph.
