Job summary

Encirc is hiring a Shunter Driver at Elton, Cheshire. You will move trailers, prepare them for loading, secure loads, and perform safety checks on a busy site.

You’ll support the logistics team to ensure timely movement of bottles and containers, contributing to efficient dispatch and safe operations. The role requires a valid C+E licence, experience in logistics or dispatch, and a proactive, safety-conscious mindset.

Qualifications

• A valid Category C+E Driving Licence is required.
• Experience in a warehouse, logistics or dispatch environment is preferred.
• A safety-first mindset with excellent attention to detail is essential.
• A flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to learn is valued.
• The ability to work well as part of a busy operations team.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers safely across our busy manufacturing site.
• Position trailers ready for loading and unloading.
• Prepare trailers by opening curtains, moving straps and ensuring they're ready for action.
• Secure loads to customer requirements so they're safe for transport.
• Carry out vehicle and trailer safety checks, reporting any defects.
• Complete trailer audits and support the Operations team.
• Keep the yard clean, safe and well organised.
• Champion health and safety in everything you do.
