Job summary

Pooky Lighting in Barnwood, Gloucester, UK, is seeking a Showroom Assistant to host customers in the showroom and support product decisions for design projects. The role is based on-site in Barnwood and involves assisting customers, maintaining displays, and ensuring accurate labelling and pricing.

Key duties include greeting customers, replenishing samples, tidying the showroom, adjusting lighting displays, and handling customer inquiries.

Qualifications

• Retail or Showroom experience (5yrs preferably)
• Interiors and/or lighting industry experience desirable

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and ensure they are well looked after, including serving teas/coffee
• Keep sample wall replenished and showroom neat and dust-free
• Assist changing displays and ensure showroom looks fresh
• Adjust shades and ensure all lamps have bulbs
• Assist with customer inquiries via email and phone
• Label products and confirm prices are correct
• Replenish seconds showroom and apply correct discounts on damaged items

Hosting Customers within the Showroom, assisting them in their product decisions and design projects

Location: Barnwood, Gloucester, UK

Hours: 36.75 per week, Thursday to Monday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM; Saturday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM; Sunday, 11:00 AM–4:00 PM

Showroom responsibilities:

• Greeting customers and making sure they are always looked after (this includes making teas/ coffees etc).
• Making sure the sample wall is always replenished.
• Help keeping the products/ showroom clean and dust-free, assist changing displays where required making sure the showroom is looking fresh.
• Straightening shades and making sure all lamps have bulbs.
• Assisting with customer service when needed (emails and phones).
• Make sure all products are labelled, and prices are all correct.
• Assisting with replenishing seconds showroom and labeling each product with the correct discount based on the damage and guidance.
