Job summary

Kinetic Recruitment is recruiting two Shotblaster operatives for a Tameside-based role. You will blast and prepare steel components prior to coating, ensuring surfaces meet SA 2.5 standards and maintaining detailed records.

Training will be provided for candidates with the right industrial background. Roles involve operating blast equipment, handling components with overhead cranes, and working closely with coating teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate shot blasting equipment safely and effectively.
• Prepare steel components by removing rust, scale and contaminants.
• Achieve surface prep standards such as SA 2.5 where applicable.
• Inspect blasted surfaces for cleanliness and profile accuracy.
• Load and unload components within the blast booth.
• Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment where trained.
• Complete production paperwork and maintain traceability.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report issues.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the workplace.
• Collaborate with coating operatives, inspectors and supervisors.
• Assist with packing and movement of finished goods.
• Follow Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures.
