Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an experienced Art Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Bolton from September 2026. This long-term, full-time role runs through to Christmas with potential for extension and offers a hands-on, creative teaching environment.

The successful applicant will teach KS3 and KS4, deliver engaging art lessons, assess progress and contribute to the school’s creative life. QTS or equivalent is required; experience in secondary education is preferred.

• Experience teaching Art within a secondary school.
• Strong subject knowledge.
• Can inspire students and develop their creativity.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Art lessons.
• Teaching students across KS3 and KS4 with a range of abilities.
• Develop students' drawing, painting and creative skills.
• Encouraging experimentation with different materials and techniques.
• Preparing students for GCSE Art where appropriate.
• Assessing and monitoring student progress.
• Creating an engaging and positive classroom environment.
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and achievement.
• Contributing to the wider creative life of the school.
