Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a Bolton secondary school to appoint an experienced Art Teacher for a long-term role from September to Christmas 2026. The post involves teaching KS3/KS4 in a creative Arts department with a strong community ethos and a focus on student creativity.

The ideal candidate has QTS or equivalent, solid Art teaching experience in secondary, and strong classroom management. The role offers competitive daily rates and a supportive consultant throughout placement.

Long-Term Role | September - Christmas | Secondary School Art Teacher - Bolton

Start Date: September 2026

Duration: September to Christmas 2026

Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary

Salary: £175-£240 per day, dependent on experience

Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be working with a welcoming secondary school in Bolton who are looking for a passionate Art Teacher to join their team from September. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity running through to Christmas, with the potential for the successful candidate to make a real impact within a well-established Creative Arts department.

About the school

Our partner school is a mixed 11-16 secondary school with a strong community ethos and approximately 1,100 students.

The school has a particularly enthusiastic approach to the creative curriculum and believes that Art should be accessible to every student, regardless of their starting point.

The Art department has recently introduced a number of new projects designed to encourage students to experiment with different media and develop their own artistic identity.

The school has dedicated Art studios, a photography area and a small exhibition space where students' work is regularly displayed.

The department works closely with Music, Drama and Design Technology to provide students with opportunities to showcase their creativity across the school.

The leadership team are described as supportive and approachable, with a strong focus on staff development and maintaining a positive school culture.

The role

The successful Art Teacher will teach across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and creative lessons that encourage students to experiment, take risks and develop their technical ability.
