Shopper Marketing Assistant – Retail and Office
Contract: Up to 2 Years (Initial Contract)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Minimum 4 days per week office-based
A global consumer products organisation is seeking a Shopper Marketing Assistant to support its Shopper Marketing team across a portfolio of well-known consumer brands.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in shopper or trade marketing, working closely with marketing, sales, eCommerce and data teams to deliver in-store and online activation campaigns across major retail customers.
The role combines marketing coordination, campaign execution, data analysis and operational support, making it ideal for a recent graduate with relevant experience or someone with an administrative or marketing background within a retail or FMCG environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Shopper Marketing team with the planning, coordination and delivery of retail marketing campaigns.
- Maintaining the Shopper Marketing calendar and ensuring key activations are accurately planned and tracked.
- Coordinating external agencies to deliver in-store merchandising, point-of-sale materials and promotional activity.
- Managing marketing assets, ensuring product information, imagery and online content remain accurate across retailer websites.
- Conducting competitor and category audits both online and in-store to identify market trends and promotional activity.
- Monitoring campaign execution and analysing performance data to identify insights and opportunities for improvement.
- Preparing reports using internal and external data sources to support marketing decision-making.
- Managing purchase orders, confirmations, invoice tracking and general marketing administration.
- Providing day-to-day operational support to the wider Shopper Marketing, Sales and eCommerce teams.
About You:
- Previous experience within marketing, shopper marketing, trade marketing, retail or a related commercial environment.
- Recent graduates with a relevant placement year or retail marketing experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and administrative capability.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with confidence using other Microsoft Office applications.
- Comfortable analysing data and producing clear reports.
- Confident communicating with internal stakeholders, external agencies and retail partners.
- Proactive, organised and able to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working within FMCG, retail or consumer products would be advantageous.
