Job summary

Alloyed is seeking a hands-on Quality Technician to join the shop floor quality function at Abingdon Business Park, south of Oxford. You will perform in-process quality checks, raise nonconformances, and work with the operations team to keep production flowing.

Training will be provided where required. This onsite role requires experience in an engineering setting, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with technicians, engineers and managers.

Qualifications

• Experience in an engineering environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-moving team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Strong communication with technicians, engineers and managers.
• Able to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
• Hands-on attitude and willingness to learn.
• High level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process quality control checks during production, mainly visual inspection of parts and review of production records.
• Raise nonconformance reports against product that does not meet the requirements.
• Review reworked product to ensure it is conforming.
• Document variation within the production processes for future improvements.
