Job summary

Orion Electrotech in Abingdon is seeking a Quality Technician to support production with in-process quality checks and documentation. The role emphasizes adherence to quality procedures and collaboration with technicians, engineers and managers to resolve issues.

The ideal candidate has engineering/manufacturing experience, strong organisation, and proficient Office skills. The position offers day or late shifts, a temp-to-perm path and ongoing training in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Excellent communication skills with technicians, engineers and managers.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to learn new skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process quality control checks during production, primarily through visual inspection of parts and review of production records.
• Raise non-conformance reports for products that do not meet quality requirements.
• Inspect and review reworked products to ensure they meet the required standards.
• Document production process variations and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure quality procedures and standards are consistently maintained.
• Work closely with technicians, engineers, and management teams to resolve quality-related issues.
