Job Opportunity: Shop Assistant

Location: Morningside, Edinburgh

Hours: 21 per week

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £22,932 per annum based on 35 hours per week

A day in the life of a Shop Assistant

• Assist the shop manager in running a customer-focused shop that represents the British Red Cross on the high street.
• Create a welcoming shopping environment and provide excellent customer service.
• Engage confidently on the shop floor, handle transactions, and create attractive displays.
• Sort stock and prepare items for display behind the scenes.

What does it take to be successful?

• Experience in retail and confidence handling money.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• A commercial mindset with the ability to meet targets.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs and provide delightful service.
