Job summary

SYR are proud to represent a long term client in the UK shipbuilding sector. They are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join the team, to liaise with clients and stakeholders and drive projects to meet cost, time and quality targets.

You will interpret technical specifications, work with the Project Scheduler, manage inter-dependencies in production, and report progress to clients and senior management while ensuring delivery to contract and technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Internal management of the project: Initiate the project in collaboration with other departments.
• Manage and coordinate the project costs, lead times and quality.
• Delivery of project to Contract and Technical Specification
• Monitor the progress of design, purchasing, production, commissioning, and delivery to ensure each element is delivered safely and on time.
• Work closely with Project Scheduler to update the project plan/schedule.
• Continually assess quality to ensure all aspects of the ship is built to a high standard.
• Facilitate yard project meetings to ensure smooth flow of information.
• Coordinate interdepartmental needs and relationships.
• Risk Analysis, Management and Mitigation
