Job summary

Escape is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a portfolio of demanding engineering and manufacturing projects across shipbuilding, steel, and site capital investment. You will own planning through delivery, coordinate Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Commercial teams, and keep priorities on track.

You will manage scope, cost, schedule, milestones and risks, communicate with senior stakeholders, ensure safety and quality, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Track record delivering projects within a complex engineering, manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience in shipbuilding or the marine sector is desirable, or related engineering/manufacturing backgrounds.
• Experience from initiation and planning through to successful delivery.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels and drive accountability.
• Strong planning, scheduling, cost control and risk management capabilities.
• APM/PRINCE2/PMI or an equivalent qualification is advantageous.
• Knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, EVM or other project controls tools beneficial.
• Experience with NEC contracts would be useful; BPSS clearance eligibility may apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from planning through to delivery, ensuring activities are coordinated and issues are addressed early.
• Develop and manage project plans including scope, cost, schedule, milestones and deliverables.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams across Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and Commercial.
• Manage project risks, issues, changes and dependencies with appropriate action.
• Monitor progress, cost and schedule performance, identify variances and drive corrective action.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure clear communication across the business.
• Provide regular project updates and progress reports to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to required quality standards.
