Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking skilled Fabricator Platers to join a leading shipbuilding and manufacturing environment in Glasgow. The role focuses on fabricating and assembling large-scale steel structures to high quality standards, working from engineered drawings.

You will operate oxy-fuel and plasma cutting equipment, interpret drawings, and join components with tack welding while maintaining strict safety and quality controls in a busy production setting.

Qualifications

• Proven fabrication experience in shipbuilding, construction or heavy engineering.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately and prepare plates.
• Commitment to safety standards and working practices.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, mark out materials and prepare plates using oxy-fuel cutting and grinding.
• Assemble large steel structures ensuring correct fit, tack welding and alignment.
• Fabricate structural components including ladders, hatches, decking and frames.
• Operate cutting equipment safely and within quality standards.
• Maintain quality and comply with engineering specifications and SHE requirements.
