Meraki Talent is currently looking to recruit a Shipping Solicitor (NQ to 2 PQE) to join a renowned legal ranked national firm in Surrey, London. This opportunity is offered on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills by working with an experienced team of lawyers. You can also expect to handle complex, varied, and interesting shipping matters.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Shipping Solicitor:

1. Advise and assist clients on a broad range of shipping matters, including commodity trade dispute cases, marine insurance advice, carriage of goods, trading/commodity contract issues, major casualties, and charter party disputes.
2. Work closely with the Partners in the team.

Background of the Shipping Solicitor:

• Qualified lawyer with a completed seat in shipping law.
• Experience in insurance matters is advantageous.
• Willingness to relocate to Surrey.
• Confident in drafting and liaising with clients.
