Overview

OUR CLIENT

A leading organisation providing specialist claims support services to the maritime sector

Responsibilities

• The post holder will be responsible for managing a varied workload with a focus on handling marine salvage claims
• This will involve liaising with clients and Surveyors
• Working with and appointing experts including Adjusters, Lawyers, Shipowners/Salvors.
• Handling, advising on and reviewing new claims, considering recovery potential
• Presenting claims to opponents, advising on liability and settlement of claims

Qualifications

• Relevant maritime claims handling experience c 5 years with expereince of general average and salvage, and international conventions
• Candidates must be familiar with rules surrounding Bills of Lading, Charter Parties and Contracts of Affreightment
• This role requires excellent organisational skills and a solid shipping background with a focus on salvage claims
