Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Shipping Coordinator to focus primarily on our clients' operations out of Nigeria as well as Ecuador, Peru & Madagascar. Our client is a leading Commodity Trading business headquartered in London with offices situated all over the world.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the Shipping Manager to provide logistic support to the trading team.
• Liaise with overseas operations, suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and colleagues in the Netherlands.
• Monitor shipments, agreements, and all related documentation.
• Check and process invoices for payment and liaise with the Accounts team.
• Enter data timely and accurately into our in-house system.
• Manage stock – reconcile stock confirmation with our in-house system.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 3 years proven work experience in a similar shipping/logistics role within commodities or a similar environment.
• Experience related to commodities preferred, with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Highly organized with the ability to track and manage multiple shipments during busy periods.
• Knowledge of warehousing, freight, and demurrage/detention claims.
