Job summary

Tarmac Trading Limited in Birtley seeks an organised Readymix Shipper to plan and coordinate deliveries, optimise fleet utilisation, and monitor real-time progress with plants, hauliers and customers.

Based at the Birtley Regional Office, you will liaise across teams, manage haulage costs and provide customers with timely updates. This role requires IT skills and a proactive, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in scheduling, distribution or logistics preferred.
• Strong IT and system skills are required.

Are you organised, quick-thinking and great at juggling priorities? Join our team as a Readymix Shipper and play a vital role in ensuring customer orders are delivered safely, efficiently and on time.

Based at our Birtley Regional Office, you'll be responsible for planning and coordinating deliveries, optimising fleet utilisation, monitoring real-time order progress and working closely with plants, hauliers and customers to deliver an excellent service.

What you’ll be doing

Working Pattern

Monday - Friday, 7am – 5pm. Rotational Shift Pattern (7-4pm & 8-5pm) Saturday Mornings Rotational if required

What we’re looking for

• Previous scheduling, distribution or logistics experience preferred
• Strong IT and system skills
• Commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach
• Ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of transport operations, fleet utilisation and industry processes
