Job summary

Orient Express is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join the cruise vessel ORIENT EXPRESS OLYMPIAN. Location is shipboard with a 6 months ±1 contract as part of the Deck department, reporting to Staff Captain. Requirements include STCW95 certification, strong references, and up-to-date safety certifications.

Responsibilities include installing and repairing fixtures, assisting with vessel preparation for arrival and departure, and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards onboard the ship.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Carpenter on cruise ships.
• Strong employment references/recommendations.
• All relevant certificates valid and up to date.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain fixtures, fittings and furnishings per policies and regulations.
• Assist Deck department and prepare vessel for arrival/departure.
• Ensure safe and compliant work practices on a cruise vessel.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in work areas and support safety procedures.
• Participate in mooring, safety drills and safety feature knowledge.
