GXO in Desford is seeking a Shift Manager to lead our warehouse operations, ensuring safety, efficiency and high performance on site. You will oversee shift teams, deliver briefings, manage inventory with WMS and devices, and keep payroll data current in Oracle/Kronos.

The role offers full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 06:00–18:00, with a salary up to £40,000 and 25 days plus holidays. Apply to join a major UK logistics network tied to Hinkley Point C.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse operations and line management.
• Strong communication skills to motivate and mentor teams.
• Familiarity with WMS and Microsoft applications.
• Safety-first mindset and drive for operational excellence.
• CITB MAPS certification and a valid driving licence (desirable).

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage shift teams, ensuring a safe and productive working environment.
• Deliver clear, engaging shift briefings to align teams with daily priorities.
• Oversee inventory control using WMS, scan guns, and tablets for accuracy.
• Maintain and update payroll systems (Oracle/Kronos) promptly and correctly.
• Collate and present operational data to senior management and clients.
