Job summary

GXO is recruiting a Shift Lead in Desford to support the Hinkley Point C nuclear build. You will oversee a warehouse team, ensuring items are received, prepared and dispatched safely and efficiently within site guidelines.

You’ll lead by example, driving performance and continuous improvement on daily logistics operations. The role is full-time Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts from 6am to 6pm, with some flexibility.

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory or team leader experience in warehouse or logistics.
• Strong leadership to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to health, safety and compliance.
• Flexibility to support changing operational priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of operatives across the Warehouse
• Ensure accurate receipt, preparation, and dispatch of HPC build items
• Monitor quality checks and compliance for safe storage and transport
• Manage workflow and priorities to meet targets and deadlines
• Act as first point of contact for the team, providing guidance
