Job summary
Veolia UK is seeking a Shift Technician to perform a balanced mix of electrical and mechanical maintenance across industrial plant equipment, including pumps, boilers and steam systems. The role requires handling P&IDs, instrumentation, and diagnostics while following strict EHS standards.
You will contribute to routine and preventive maintenance, document activities, and collaborate with supervisors and subcontractors to ensure continuous operation and safety on site.
Qualifications
- Essential experience with pumps, boilers, steam systems.
- Ability to read P&IDs/electrical drawings and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and maintenance procedures.
- Proven troubleshooting and preventive maintenance experience.
- Competent with basic IT and software applications; strong documentation.
Responsibilities
- Carry out work as per schedule from Contracts Manager or Supervisor.
- Complete site documentation before/after tasks.
- Coordinate with subcontractors during planned maintenance.
- Ensure on-site work complies with EHS rules and Veolia guidelines.
- Maintain steam boilers per OEM specs and plant records.
