Job summary

Jobtailor in Southampton seeks a Maintenance Technician to support port and cruise operations. You will maintain port assets, perform inspections, and help with berth preparation such as passenger boarding bridges and gangways, ensuring equipment is safe for operation.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 or apprenticeship, with experience in maintenance or industrial environments, and a valid UK driving license.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in maintenance, engineering, facilities, plant, industrial, or operational environments.
• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in a busy operational setting.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Ability to work at height.
• Ability to work a 21-day rotating shift pattern, including weekends.
• Electrical qualifications such as 17th or 18th Edition are beneficial but not essential.
• Pre-employment BPSS screening.
• Medical clearance before starting.
• Subject to random substance-abuse screening and a zero-tolerance policy.
