Shift Technician (Electrical Bias)

Location: Canary Wharf, London
Shifts: Continental (12-hour rotating days/nights)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive + Benefits

About the Role:

Equans is recruiting for a Shift Technician to support the critical operations of the Commerzbank London Campus. You'll work on a continental shift pattern, delivering both planned and reactive M&E maintenance, with an emphasis on electrical systems.

Reporting to the Shift Operational Risk Controller (SORC), you'll ensure essential services (power, HVAC, BMS, and UPS) remain operational and compliant at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical and mechanical PPMs and reactive maintenance

  • Support LV/HV switching operations (training provided)

  • Fault finding on power, lighting, HVAC, and BMS systems

  • Maintain accurate records via CAFM and ensure safe, efficient plant operation

  • Assist with installations, modifications, and contractor supervision

What You'll Need:
  • C&G Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)

  • 5+ years' experience in building services or critical environments

  • Strong fault-finding skills (mechanical skills a bonus)

  • HV Authorised Person (desirable)
