Job summary

Veolia Group in Shrewsbury is seeking a Shift Team Leader to supervise and optimise plant operations from a Central Control Room. You will lead a technically skilled team, ensuring adherence to health, safety and environmental standards while maintaining efficient production on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Ideal candidates have power generation or steam-raising experience, strong safety credentials, and proven communication skills to report on performance and issues across all levels of the site.

Qualifications

• Experience in Power Generation or Steam raising plant.
• Experience leading a team in an engineering environment.
• Strong Health & Safety awareness.
• Knowledge of environmental and safety legislation.
• Experience on a shift rota.
• Able to communicate at all levels and produce clear reports.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with site Environmental Permits.
• Supervise and deploy manpower for cost-effective, safe operations.
• Operate/monitor plant from a Central Control Room.
• Provide technical supervision for staff on site.
• Train and monitor shift staff.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure minimum turnaround times during outages.
• Maintain safe systems of work and safety administration.
