Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Shift Team Leader in Shrewsbury to drive safe and efficient plant operation. You will supervise teams, monitor plant performance from a Central Control Room, and ensure environmental permits are followed.

The role requires experience in power generation, leadership, and strong H&S knowledge, with a rotating 4-on/4-off shift pattern and weekend work. Veolia offers development and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

Experience in Power Generation or steam raising.
Experience leading an engineering team.
Strong Health & Safety awareness.
Understanding of environmental and safety legislation.
Experience on a shift rota.
Able to communicate at all levels and produce clear reports.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all aspects of the site Environmental Permits.
Supervise and deploy manpower to ensure cost effective, safe and efficient operation.
Operate / monitor plant from a Central Control Room.
Provide technical supervision for staff on site.
Apply Health and Safety policies and safe systems of work.
Train and monitor shift staff.
Coordinate with staff to minimise plant outages turnaround times.
