Job summary

Zapp delivers premium groceries across London around the clock from multiple fulfilment centres, and we are expanding. As Shift Supervisor you are accountable for one site during your shift.

You will lead a frontline team of up to 15 associates, own the shift, drive productivity and quality, induct new starters and ensure safety and audit readiness on every shift.

• Experience managing a frontline team is essential.
• Leadership in warehouse, retail or similar environments is valued.

Job description

Pay: £33,000 base, plus paid overtime for every additional hour beyond your 40 hour week. Typical earnings last year were were between £35,000 and £42,000

Hours: Full time, 40 hours a week. Our sites run 24 hours a day, so the rota includes some early starts and late finishes, with weekend and night shifts from time to time.

Zapp delivers premium groceries across London in minutes, 24 hours a day, from 10 fulfilment centers, and we are opening more. As Shift Supervisor you are accountable for one of those sites for the length of your shift.

What you bring

You have managed a frontline team before. Warehouse, grocery, retail, food production, hospitality: the industry matters far less than whether you have stood in front of a team, set the pace, and been accountable for what they delivered. If you have not managed people, this is not the right role for you.

What you will own

The shift. You are the most senior person on site and the calls are yours to make. Nobody is standing behind you.

The team. Up to 15 associates, and whether they hit the day or miss it comes down to how you run it.

The numbers. Productivity, order accuracy, stock integrity and waste. You will know them, explain them, and be expected to move them.

The people. You induct new starters, coach, and train those that are ready for progression.

The site. Safe, in good order, and audit ready every day. All health and safety measures reviewed and implemented on every shift

The handover. Whatever you leave behind is what the next supervisor starts with.
