Job summary

Pertemps Specialist Talent Solutions is recruiting a Process Team Leader for a busy manufacturing site in Birmingham. You will support the day-to-day operation of the Process Department, ensuring safety, quality and KPI targets are met, and provide cover for the manager when off site.

The role requires leading colleagues across process areas, operating production equipment, performing CIP and quality checks, and working with SAP to complete production orders and stock movements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a process or manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
• Ability to train and develop colleagues and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support the Day-to-day operation of the Process Department and lead colleagues across areas.
• Operate and monitor production equipment; ensure safety, quality and KPI targets are met.
• Carry out CIP, cleaning, and preparation activities for production readiness.
• Perform quality checks, sampling and monitor processes for defects.
• Complete SAP transactions such as MIGO, production orders, stock movements and goods receipts.
• Maintain production paperwork, reports and work instructions.
• Provide management cover during sickness, holidays, training and absence of the manager.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve production issues and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, hygiene, GMP and housekeeping standards.
