Job summary

Pertemps Bristol Industrial is recruiting an experienced Manufacturing Cell Leader for a site in Clevedon. You will lead manufacturing cells, drive improvements and coordinate teams across safety, quality, cost and delivery targets.

The role requires hands-on leadership, effective people management and a proven track record in manufacturing improvement, with a strong safety culture and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong track record delivering operational improvements and targets.
• Demonstrated leadership including coaching and performance management.
• Experience managing large multi-skilled teams.
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across functions.
• Good IT literacy and strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage assigned manufacturing cells and improvements.
• Own cell activities relating to people, processes and systems/data.
• Oversee daily operations from receipt to final assembly.
• Align capacity and workforce with schedules and needs.
• Create recovery plans for component or process issues.
• Embed a culture of continuous improvement using Lean methods.
• Strengthen cell organisation through leadership and planning.
• Coach and support team members with feedback and reviews.
• Create cross-functional problem-solving teams to drive fixes.
• Promote safety compliance with ISO 45001:2018.
