Job summary

CBRE in Chester is seeking a Shift Electrician to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant, equipment and building services. The role requires fault finding on various machinery and working with three-phase systems up to 440V.

You will identify risks, update drawings, manage preventative maintenance, liaise with the client, and sometimes supervise contractors or deputise the Shift Leader during leave or absence. A time-served apprenticeship and strong multis skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Recognised or time-served apprenticeship.
• Experience in manufacturing maintenance and electrical/mechanical systems.
• Qualifications to 18th edition electrical standards.
• Ability to supervise contractors and write risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage risks to the client through equipment on site; update drawings and spares.
• Maintain production environment using new equipment and technologies; coordinate PMs.
• Fault finding on all types of machinery and systems.
• Support Health and Safety within the department.
• Provide electrical and mechanical expertise for heavy machinery and cranes.
• Write and follow risk assessments; ensure compliant documentation.
• Work on 3-phase systems up to 440V and on motors, gearboxes, valves, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Plan daily work via CAFM system and calendars; liaise with Site Services.
