Job summary

AndersElite seeks a Day Shift Mechanical Engineer in the Enfield area to perform PPM and reactive maintenance on HVAC plant, FCUs and boilers. You will also handle minor plumbing tasks and IT-based workload management, with a DBS check or willingness to obtain one.

The role is 48 hours per week, day shift 7am–7pm, paying £28 per hour Umbrella. Suitable candidates will have 3–5 years of experience in an office/industrial environment and NVQ2 in Mechanical Engineering, with NVQ3 preferred.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Office environment experience is preferred.
• FCU maintenance knowledge is needed.
• DBS or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, reactive and installation works on pumps, boilers, FCUs, AHUs and HVAC plant.
• Maintain records and ensure faults are repaired per contract requirements.
• Supervise sub-contractors and complete documents accordingly.
• Develop IT skills to manage information, workload and communication.
• Prioritise workload with team leader to meet time and budget targets.
• Assess hazards and manage risks for all types of work.

Job description

My client one of the UKs largest Facilities Management companies in the UK are looking for a Day Shift Mechanical Engineer in the Enfield area.

The successful candidate will be doing PPM and reactive works, L8 training , minor plumbing works required i.e. changing TMVs/Taps etc also.

Responsibilities include:

• Carry out maintenance, reactive and installation works in accordance with appropriate policy, specifications and HSE regulations. Pumps, Boilers, FCUs, AHUs, HVAC plant
• Maintain all records associated with delivering the service ensuring faults are repaired in accordance with the contract requirements
• Complete all works in a competent and compliant manner in accordance with the appropriate policy, specifications and HSE requirements (Inc the supervision of sub-contractors) and documents completed.
• Develop a level of competence in the application of IT skills (Excel / Word / Email / PDA), to manage business information, communication and workload.
• Work with team leader to prioritise workload to ensure all works are completed within time and budget.
• Ensure all types of work undertaken are assessed for hazards and risks and those risks and hazards are appropriately managed.

This is a temporary role Day Shift 7am - 7pm 48 hours per week and is paying £28 per hour Umbrella.
