Job summary

Farnell Global, part of the Avnet family, is seeking a proactive Shift Manager for our Leeds facility. You will lead distribution centre operations, drive efficiency and safety, and coach a skilled team in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee packing, shipping, receiving, inventory, and order fulfilment, delivering high-quality service while fostering continuous improvement and compliance with ISO/ESD standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading teams in distribution or warehouse environments.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and order fulfilment.
• Ability to drive process improvements and maintain health & safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing key distribution centre activities including packing, shipping, receiving, inventory, and order fulfilment.
• Managing customer order shipments and resolving fulfilment issues.
• Leading inventory control processes and ensuring documentation accuracy.
• Driving quality and efficiency to ensure correct items are delivered on time.
• Implementing and maintaining quality assurance procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and equipment standards.
• Producing operational reports and analysing productivity metrics.
• Driving process improvements and supporting strategic initiatives.
• Leading and developing a team of experienced professionals.
