Job summary

AIT Home Delivery UK Limited is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to lead a warehouse team in a fast-paced, nationwide home delivery operation. The role focuses on people leadership, performance management and efficient flow of goods from loading through to dispatch.

You will drive engagement, monitor performance metrics and ensure safety, accuracy and timeliness in every shift. This position is based on-site in Castleford. FLT license desirability but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced operation with demonstrable people management experience.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and manage a mixed ability team.
• Decisive and effective decision-making, problem resolution and time management skills.
• Demonstrate high levels of resilience, self-motivation and flexibility.
• The ability to do comprehensive reporting, alongside analysis of data is a key requirement for this role.
• You will be proactive rather than reactive to prevent issues from arising.
• Confidence in getting involved in HR activity, including incident investigations, disciplinaries and performance management.
• Must be IT literate
• FLT license is desirable.

Due to continued growth we are expanding our team and are now seeking an experienced Shift Manager to join our us.

We strive to deliver an outstanding service to our customers and your role as the Shift Manager in key to this. You will be responsible for the Warehouse function, managing a team of warehouse operatives, making sure that they are engaged, organized and motivated, while they load/unload vehicles, process freight and route sort before assisting with load out in line with business targets.
