Job summary

Churchill's Chelmsford is seeking a Shift Manager for full-time hours in Chelmsford. The role offers 37.5 hours per week and a hourly rate of £12.71–£13.71, with duties including cooking, leading a busy team, and delivering high-quality service. Training and development are highlighted within our supportive environment.

The Shift Manager will work with the management team to meet KPIs, uphold health and safety standards, and drive store performance while maintaining excellent customer relations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen or hospitality role.
• Ability to lead a team and communicate clearly.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts.
• Previous shift-management experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all menu items to a high standard in a busy kitchen.
• Liaise with the team to assemble orders for takeaway, click & collect, and delivery.
• Lead and motivate the team to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Promote high standards of food hygiene and safety.
• Support store KPIs by managing costs, labour, and stock.
• Work with the Operations Manager to maximise turnover and profitability.
